    My HX40 install

Ok, that was the only part of the installation I did not understand from reading yours and many others. Pretty sure I pull it off now. The lower temps alone, make it worth it, and then the gains in performance +++ You said something never thinking you would do all this work on your truck and I...

    My HX40 install

Question about the waste gate actuator. I see on the new turbo that you are using a port on the turbo output side to control the waste gate. How do you control the amount of vacuum on the waste gate solenoid ? I have a 93' that is currently mechanical, a big spring with an adjusting nut. I am...

    My Project / Work Truck

Funds are tight, the truck is going to sit for a while. Most likely I will do all the work myself this time. The shop I used is someone I work with and they only work on diesels most heavy duty stuff. I was not really happy with the work but a lot of shops won't touch the chevy 6.5. I have...

    My Project / Work Truck

I used odessa*cylinderhead on ebay, heads were advertised as NEW. Warranty is 2 years unlimited miles, we will see how that goes. The labor was 2 times the head cost.

    My Project / Work Truck

First I stopped driving the truck as soon as I heard gurgling in the heater core, but sounds like it was too late. Well, I pulled it apart ran it with no belt... I have bubbles, so my 10 month old head gaskets are screwed and I'm guessing my new heads. The heads are under warranty, but not the...

    My Project / Work Truck

Ok good to know on the balancer. Sounds like I need to take care of it right away. Pretty sure the balancer I have now is at about 150000. Would a worn balancer wreck a new water pump? I think my water pump has failed and it was new this past year. System still holds pressure but coolant is...

    My Project / Work Truck

Tank sock was replaced before I had new online filter. I am considering a sump for the bottom of the tank. No more sock or undersized straw for fuel feed. All new front end but I should have gone poly, already getting loose after 30,000 miles Cleaned behind all coolers 2 times now New head studs...

Here's Why You Check Your Battery Cables

Before I replaced my wires, I was only getting 5 volts on all the lugs at the firewall. So pretty much every system tied into the positive buss bar on the firewall was running or not running on only 5 volts. Replacing wires fixed a ton of problems I was having, including my lift pumps burning up.

Thanks Guys, I have learned a lot the past 2 years. Most of it from other members, just reading past posts. Reading about other owners trucks and the information everyone provides is a huge help.
