Between the wheels, the inside wheel is bolted tight and the spacer has studs for the outer wheel.

I've got 245/16 on mine with 2" spacers .... If you plan to tow anything ya may want to stay with 245.... I'm also going to lower the rear 2" to level it out....

He's bringing it here so everything will get a good bath to start with...

What is your honest budget, your wallet and time frame will determine what you do... It's doable for a beginner but not advisable..

A good shop that has a shot blast cabinet does a good job on the light stuff ...

FYI the blocks have been cast and machined in Germany for some time now, GEP has made production changes, seems it's faster and cheaper to have it done overseas...

And by the way they do offer 6.5 piston sets.... 4k .....

Does the needle on the gauge stay when the injector pops or do you half to hope you see how high it goes ?

I'm no expert but I don't run the compressor till I am almost done filling, then I run the compressor on and off several times to slowly get stuff circulating...

I suggest you document bearing size and location, ie, upper/lower main caps and the same with rods, these are select fit, meaning probably not the same size in every location... Very important when going back together.
