Unfortunately, it's sitting in the corner of the shop on a stand still.
I have a tranny to swap into the truck sitting in the bed also...
Maybe spring I'll have time to work on my stuff...
P400 heads are thicker and the passage is their but has more metal, and they aren't induction hardened so they aren't likely to crack ever, so their is no reason to do this mod on p heads...
FYI, those front bolts on the lip of the oil pan aren't needed, the p400 doesn't use them, the holes are there but no threads, and if correct sealant is used no leaks...
Yea, several times a hi way man would blue light me and say slow down on channel 19, I'd let off till he was out of sight then back to making time... I enjoy those roads, and been on 95 many times, I like the lesser traveled route...
@Paveltolz
When I drove otr trucks I traveled hwy 50 many times across UT to NV, there is a sign that says " loneliest road in America" that's a understatement....
Those chips in the teeth are easily fixed, tig, then file.
Would be a good idea to see how hard the gear is to know what filler rod might be best to use...
Can the gear be removed?
Looking at the pics, what part is warn, the teeth or the boss , what would you want repaired?
I'm not aware of a coating that would "fix" the boss/ smooth part but maybe weld and turn it back down?
