wtb pyrometer fitting?

I get what you mean now with the weld on bung. My new gauges just came in two days ago and the EGT gauge has that exact setup like you do. I'm half tempted to just save the weld on bung for the project motor and just drill and tap the manifold and hook it up that way.

Mudbath, I think it is like the one in your picture, but its kind of small and hard to make out. Someone elses description of a cb antenna connection sounds closest to how I could describe it. Not sure about all these other pictures here, can't tell what end goes where. Glad I didn't cut it off, I had a feeling it might be a signal wire.
Cumminalong, the part number Banks gave me is 92273
Thanks

Dan,

I have that part available.

Hell, it would cost more to ship it to you than the part would cost. It's only a couple of dollars.

Let me know if Banks doesn't get you taken care of and I can get one out to you.

Rich

I got the Banks pyro and the fitting looks like this:

Great pic, BigT - that looks like the critter... I have seen one, but couldn't for the life of me find a picture!

Rich - great offer - we love our vendors for a reason, guys!

Thanks for jumping in to give Dan a hand, everybody... I'm in awe!

Note the position. Not so great for removing the bolt above it. I bought a mandrel bent crossover from a DTR member and took the pic to show where I did not want the pyro. I cut the fitting off and had it welded over the hole the seller drilled for me. It's all good.

Now if only I could solve my timing problem:rolleyes5:.

All right, now I'm really confused. Finally got around to calling Banks, gave them the part number I was given, and the guy said he'd send me one right away, no charge. Well, that's fantastic, especially since I don't even have the Banks exhaust anymore! What I got is threaded on the inside and smooth on the outside. So still have no idea what I'm supposed to freaking do. I'f I could only take the damn thing off and bring it into a hardware store, I could straighten it out. I really want to get this thing working again, camper towing season is coming up quick, and I am now running a bigger turbo, a hopped up tune and feed the beast. I'm about ready to buy a whole new gauge, but I don't think I should have to. This isn't rocket science, at least it shouldn't be.
