Way more than I could list. A few highlights: bought 4 more 6.5 trucks needing work, bought 14 engines, a couple diamondeye exhaust systems, and a couple sets of gm 8 lug 16" aluminum wheels

Started the year with a snapped crank and broken block that was replaced with a Diesel Depot 6.2 / 6.5 Hybrid
Brake booster
Power steering pump
Pitmarm #2
Enigne oil cooler line
The rest is a blur.

This year,
Changed oil/filters and greased up a couple times
Swapped worn out seperated tires for less wore ones.
Broke dr side door handle
Broke heater resistor
getting wheel alignment check tomorow (offset steering wheel unsolved mistery investigation)

Next year,

Dunno yet,i don't feel like doing a damn thing.
i prob replace the door handle and heater resistor
I might swap in the cross over and downpipe that are hanging on the wall since last year

This year :

Bought the 97 Suburban
- Cleaned out the junk
- Oil change
- Filters

2011
- New window rail (driver side)
- Mirror adjust switch needs to be replaced
- One leaf spring needs to be replaced
- New Bosch injectors
- New Bosch duraterm glow plugs
- New wiring for glow plugs
- New cable from alt to battery (#4 gauge)
- New cable from batt to starter
- New Cloyes timing chain
- Replace and flush brake fluid
- New brake pads
- Might need ABS sensors
- Change diff/tranny and re flush engine oil for synthetics
- Leather styled seat covers (thats for my ego)
- Minor body work ( there is one rust spot that I want to tackle right now, plus the clear coat is peeling away on the hood)
- Grease just about everything that can get greased
- Redo some wiring
- Fix some rattling around the dash and that pesky loose ashtray
- Get her a nice set of winter boots

oil, filter, lube couple times ???
fuel and air filters couple times ???

iirc
alternator, new batteries, battery post upgrade
vac pump delete, new belt, tensioner, main hub pulley
HVAC blower motor, speed resisitors
passenger seat rear entry cable
tailgate handle repair (release rod plastic keepers broke) - couple of zip ties

A couple hundred dollars??? still way cheaper than 12 new truck payments .... woo hoo. hope I am not jinxing myself.

Let's see, year 2010....I have just been changing the oil every 2000 miles or so (because of my minor coolant in the crankcase feature). I have probably added at least 3-4 packages of the GM coolant tabs to keep the coolant situation under control (or at least at bay). :rolleyes5:The truck has done a LOT of work this last year, -hauled some seriously heavy stuff moving the company I work for and is the daily driver logging well over 30k miles.

It is pretty exciting to drive with the malfunctioning governor feature my DB2 IP has, -it runs like a scalded cat. My steering idler is toast, -as is one of my outer tie-rod ends. The 13" back brakes are waaaay out of adjustment, -the adjusters are stuck.

Plans for 2011 include getting the DB2 back to the shop to get the governor problem fixed. I am also taking the injectors back to be reworked (I have one that I think is misbehaving). I am also entertaining the idea of using some thermaseal to hopefully fix the coolant problem. Oh yeah, -I would like to fix the idler and tie rod ends and get the back brakes fixed up right.

Ratman's signature cracks me up. "I RELOCATED MY PMD TO THE TRASHCAN!"

Well me and my '93 is still bonding. She has all the makings for a stout machine. Lot's of stuff has been done on and off since I bought it the summer before last - June '09 IIRC.

Fast forward to the present, I still have yet to get it out on the road. Slow I guess. Right now at this minute I'm doing ball joints, tie-rods, hubs, rotors, calipers, pads, brake hoses, CV boots or the whole CV (pending upon inspection) Blah blah.... On and on. High mileage. Pay me now or pay me later- In a nutshell.

The good news is the 6.2/6.5 effort is alive and well. Very well... Did a short 'spin' around the block, so far I like what I see.

Just another project, that's all.

Life's a project, in a way...

What I didn't do to my 6.5's this past year is a short list...

1) Extreme mods like lowering, aftermarket parts, etc.
2) DB2 conversion from DS4. (I did do a DB2 6.5 IP to 6.2 IP conversion of sorts.)
3) PMD relocate. (Out of time and parts.)
4) Front diff tear down or 4WD actuator replacement. (Did remove a complete front diff though...)
5) I can't say "did not sell it" as I did sell one truck as scrap metal and several engines went that way as well... :nonod:

The long list:
A Team Turbo IS ready for install on the suburban engine.
Ruined two 6.5's and obtained a pre-blown up one.
6.2 to replace a 6.5... Habit forming status. :agreed:
ARP head studs...
Used sawzall for easier access to front end after getting our elk for the year.
Differential tear down: check
Remove and swap the dash/seats carpet: Check.
Remove cab and bed from frame: Check
Rebuild front end: check

Every nut and bolt on my 1993's I have removed and installed at least twice.

:werd: The factory oil cooler lines I put on my truck after purchase have outlived two engines and one truck.

Ratman's signature cracks me up. "I RELOCATED MY PMD TO THE TRASHCAN!"

Yep, -something I take just a little pride in. I'm "beyond done" with PMD's and DS4's, -just not my cup of tea. Admittedly, the DB2 isn't perfect either, -but it always starts at the mere bump of the key, -and delivers fuel "right now". It makes for a really fun to drive combo with the 5-speed and 4.11's.

I couldn't help but notice your signature quoting Phil Anselmo, -I'm a big fan myself, -can't go wrong with Pantera! Cowboys from hell is always in the truck, -no matter where I go! :hihi:
