Got a new to me 1993 K1500 Suburban. Most of its life was spent in either North or South Carolina hence its incredibly clean for its age. After that it spent a year or two in Minnesota and now its here in Wisconsin with me. The sad thing about it is the previous owner appears to have beaten the hell out of it and taken quarter measures at every chance he could. For instance...one day after pulling my boat to the launch I found the hull of the boat was covered in oil. Turns out he had messed up the plug gasket and replaced it with a steel gasket on top of the broken original gasket. Not to mention he had his own half arsed stereo system installed. For some reason the only bit he used that was actually in the truck was the wiring for the dash speakers. The rest he had laying in the truck loose. He ran the power directly from the battery using amp cable...he was nice enough to disconnect his amp and leave the cable laying live on the floor when I came to pick up the truck. He also has speakers from boom boxes and such laying in the truck. This is how the deck was wired from him

And lastly the bumper

He claims someone hit him in a parking lot but when I pulled the bumper off I found the bumper brackets were all bent to hell and the more I thought about it that dent looks like a pole or someones trailer hitch from when he took it into fields and got stuck and had someone pull him out.
Anyhow I got that cleaned up and now the front looks like this

I have since then gotten my front license plate on since I was getting looks from cops.

Other then that shes been a pretty nice truck. Transmission shifts a bit rough but I'm guessing thats just from age. Thanks for the help I have already recived and I hope to contribute some when I can myself.

I kinda like the paint job on that burb. Never seen one like that before.

They're actually decals...A month or two after I got the truck I saw this and was like

My brother claims he saw a Suburban identical to mine the other day but I have my doubts...

And thanks for the warm reception!
