we are looking for a wireless router for my wifes business, we want it to allow folks to surf the net, or the students to do homework ect, my question is what is needed to allow internet but not cetain sites like myspace, porn ect. i know you can set it up in computers, but how can we do it for a network. kinda like some business places do to restrict there employees from fartin off during the work day.

A wireless router will let you block any and all websites you specify within it's firmware. You can type in certain key words or entire addresses that you want to block access to.

You just have to go into the router by typing in http://192.168.0.0, set up a password and configure how you want it. Sounds complicated, but it's really easy.

Speaking from my own experience with my crappy Netgear router at home. Your actual results may vary.

Try checking this site out...

It's really hard to keep up with bad websites... your best bet is to go with a subscription option, and let the company do all the work.

Good luck!
