I picked these up on a online auction near me. Will these fit my 1992 2wd? Im not sure what year they came stock on.

the clear stuff is comming of most of them, could I get a cup brush or something for a diegrinder and clean them up? Then spray clearcoat on them?

Will the center caps for these fit or do I need to use the old ones? Someone stole one of the caps that came on my truck but I have 4 of the new ones.

It will all bolt right up, if you got the lugnuts from the new wheels, Nice find, and I bet scarp prices is over double what you paid.

The lugnuts from the steel wheels will work if they have the external threads to hold the center caps on. The old style center caps won't work unless you use the lug caps from the newer style wheels.

The only issue with older 2wd vehicles is if they are light duty truck, 1/2 tons and even I think some 2500s like those that came with EGR and "S" L56 engines, came with 5 bolt 15" wheels. So as long as you have the right amount of bolts youre good. Since it says you have an F engine I assume you have the better wheels.

The rims on my truck now are stock, I just dont have the center caps on. I still have the stock lug nuts but didnt get lug nuts with the new rims.

You STOLE those wheels! Nice score!

I bet I got someone mad, I forgot about the auction and got on the computer with about 10 min left. Someone was going to get them for $40.

I got $27 for a alum rim off a car at the scrap yard a few years ago.

I just put the exact set on my 95 GMC. if your lugnuts have the external threads for the plastic nuts, it will work. barry taugh me that one. ball seat and everything lines up, and fits right, so you wont hurt the rims with wrong taper lug nuts, etc.

I used the caps that came with the rims. fit great, look great.

excellent buy, good luck with them!

i have a set of them that need to be stripped. don't know if i will keep them or not though.

I don't understand the appeal of these PYO rims. They're not forged and are prone to cracking. They need a clear coat. They have gay plastic center caps held on by gay plastic lug nuts that screw onto the real lug nuts. Just a completely lame system. JMO

Most aluminum wheels aren't forged. Weld racing is one of the few that are. They cost double what most other wheels cost.
Prone to cracking if you do what to them? I have 6 sets of the pyo wheels and haven't had any structural trouble nor have I heard of any from any one else. As you said "just your opinion".

Never heard of even 1 PYO wheel cracking. They've been around quite some time too. Maybe I've missed those reports though.
