why so many 6.5's

Ratman,
Nice story!

I also play the rubberneck game. I have seen a few 6.5 over here in Germany. Just not that many!

There is a punk here at school with a 3/4 ton GAS that went and bought a Diesel bumper because he thought mine looked better!! Thats BULL S***

You could always put Duct tape over them and leave him a note saying "Nostrils are earned .......NOT given"

Most would consider this a lame story, but you 6.5 guys will dig it.

So, me and the boy pull into the local burger joint tonight, and the parking lot is PACKED, -I mean, no place to park at all, -and the drive-thru line is snaked through the parking lot.

So, not wanting to get trapped in the mess, I throw the trusty 4500 into reverse and give 'er a little go-pedal. Mind you, the pavement is wet, and the truck is empty (you know where this is going!).

My windows were a little fogged and it was dark, so I rolled down the side windows a bit so I could make sure I wasn't backing over anybody.

I caught a glimpse of what appeared to be headlights, so I kinda tromped on it a bit. The rear-end came loose, and I was feathering the tach at around 3500 or so. Man, the 4" pipe never sounded so good, and the little GM4 was whistling a nice tune.

Well, the headlights I saw were from an '07 Dodge, -luckily he avoided me. He also had his window down too, -so he got the full effect of the noises being made.

He got a big grin across his face and gave me a big ol' thumbs up!

That was my 6.5 moment of the day. ):h

awesome! I love stick!

Reminds me of the time I pulled out of the local GM store after ordering some filters, traffic was heavy and I had to get on her to get out, long story short I ended up sideways across 3 lanes of busy city streets.... Manager met me at the door asking what I had under the hood.. His response was "6.5's don't do that" I smiled and said "mine does" ):h

fill in sig! what kinda beast do you have? Great story too. i want to get to the point w/ mine that i can light up the 19.5 duals!

Actually the 6.5 has a ton of low end torque, mine just suffers while pulling over 1700 RPM. Unloaded it runs quite well .... sometimes too well, especially after the injectors and the 4" exhaust. Funny thing is mine has a very distictive rattle.... different then any other 6.5 I've heard and it's been like that since the day I brought her home with 35000 miles on the clock. Hmmm 6yrs ago and it seems like yesterday :D
