who has built tranny's?

who was built tranny's and how do you like them?
and which converter did you use and why?
i am planning on building my own and am looking for options
i am looking for a tranny to run about 500hp

I LOVE my Trans, Really! . I had Eric Merchant build mine. He did one hell of a job, he knows what he's doing. Its more than just slapping in Clutches. there are some secret machining tricks that really make the build durable and strong. Im using Erics Spec race converter from Precision Industries. This Verter is one beefy unit and does EVERTHING i ask it to, From Towing to playing its great. I have the same build as NastyGirl ( 1000 rwhp) minus the billet input/output shafts.

how do you like the ppe hot+2et i am thinking about upgrading my ppe when i upgrade my tranny more

Oh boy, Hold on as this the most powerful smooth shifting hand held tuner you can buy. Its Awesome! Your truck is an instant hot rod with this tuner and supporting mods.

Suncoast IV
Transgo
Mike L Billet Input Shaft
Mag Hytec pan.
ATS Billet Flex Plate.

shouldnt have to worry about it for awhile. And If youve got an extra grand, while your in there install the co-pilot. But you can do this later all you need to do is drop the valve body.

You dont need the billet shaft or Flexplate unless your going to building your motor for serious( 600 and above hp) from what the pros have told me. Lots of guys running the SC III and a good converter holding 500+ just fine. When i had my trans built i asked about billet shafts and was told unless i wanted power upwards of a 1000 rwhp i didnt need billet shafts for a 500rwhp driver.;)

Sounds like a recipe for success. All I need is the fundage.:D
