Don't you get an ses light 78 from the lack of vacuum at the solenoid? How would one overcome this?

Hi BT - moved your questions to a new thread so we can have one topic going at a time.
Welcome to The Truck Stop! Please take a little time to fill out your signature (click on the link in mine - that'll take you to yours) so we know what you drive!
Now - answers... the 3.73s pulled fine with my 5th wheel, but the truck is not exactly stock. Cooling issues were addressed, upgraded exhaust and airflow modifications, Turbo-Master and Heath chip were added for power and performance, new LP for higher fuel pressure, and TCC (torque-converter-clutch) manual lock ... all that stuff was done to make it work real well. Stock, not so much.
RPMs at 70 mph (~110 kmh) around 2200 - and I never tow that fast. Not towing, I was last getting about 18mpg at that speed.
