whats up all you chevy drivers!!

thanks guys i have been looking at the suncoast stage V or IV I cant mak up my mind with what I want to do to the motor in the future. I havent talked to any one at suncoast about it yet. I see that Idao Rob is a dealer for it to. And will give a discount on the install if you get the kit form him. Who is Mike L. I saw the stuff when he helped Dura with his stage 4. How can I get ahold of Rob and mike? What About that EGR delete is it worth messing with? I also herd that the Push rods in the motor can bend when you get up in the 700hps. If thats true I dont want to deal with that. I would stick with the sun stage4.
You'll have to go to a web site where they are vendors or PM me and I'll gave you there numbers.

Welcome to the truck stop doogie. Sounds like your quite the diesel tuner yourself so glad to have you aboard. In a nut shell the EGR delete stops the EGR from throwing crap into your intake. EGR is an emmisions componant which recycles exhuast gasses back into your intake. Having it "blocked" really doesn't have any power gains per say rather it just stops the intake tubes from getting all messy with exhaust. What comes out of the motor should stay out of the motor IMO. The guys around here will be able to fill you in on specifics in reguards to this as I'm not expert with the DMAX.

Pushrods are the least of your concerns. Generally, you aren't going to want to go past 500hp(If I remember right) without being concerned about throwing a connecting rod. If you don't plan on going past that hp than a suncoast 4 would fit you well.

Let me just give a friendly word of advice:thumbsup: Your asking alot from your truck as a whole to do the quarter mile in 12 to 13 seconds. If you want that speed you either have to be aimed at a truck specially for speed(no lift, no big tires. Nothing but speed), or, do what you want and build a 1200hp killing machine):h

You'll find even ground eventually. But if you want those numbers, your going to need to tear into the motor for a buildup. Tranny is a must for sure. Basically(again in a nut shell), you need a plan. Know what you want to do with the truck. Know how much your willing to spend as well. Otherwise your going to be breaking things faster than you can fix them, and that takes all the fun out of it:nono:

thanks for the advice, My plan was to run a 13 or 14. I think I can do that with my mod and the suncoast 4. I am going to go with that tranny build so I dont have to screw with trowing a rod. The only crapy thing is I think that I am around 600hp. I havent got it dinoed or anything but the stock truck had 360 the big hoss had 140 and the meth kit is like 90. Do you think that those are real hp numbers and that i should be worried?

Ii real dont want to throw a rod. I bet replacing them with better ones will be very time consuming. But cheaper and easyer than putting a new block in.

Your pistons will crack/melt before you will throw a rod.

Your probably not in the 500RWHP range with what you have. A good stout tuner like PPE/EFILive is what you need.

I am looking for a buyer for my banks sixgun and pda. I like the on the fly tuning but cant stand it when it shuts the chip off for a tran slip. I am also looking for a EFI live programer to replace it after I sell the banks.

hahaha unfortunatly I really doubt your going to be able to sell a Banks Six gun around here. Like it was said earlier, alot of guys use EFI live. Chances are if they don't have it already there saving up for it. Your best bet would be to put it up on places like craigslist and ebay to see who bites. Offer a fair price for it and you can use that money to fund EFI live.

I doubt you will if you stay around 400 hp and you will be fine. And with 400 hp and around 800 ft/lbs you can probubly hit 14 seconds on the quarter mile in 4wd. Yes replacing rods is time consuming. But it really comes down to "you have to pay to play". You can play, but if you don't pay now, you'll pay later. Its a very true statement unfortunatly. Yes replacing rods is considerably cheaper and less time consuming than replacing the whole engine.

Just be careful... guys around here(and the lady) like to help you open up your wallet:nonod::eek:):h

Just remembered - Spend some time on here, help a few brothers out and when you have a high enough post count (25 IIRC), you can post in the classsifieds for the Banks Six Gun. Who knows, maybe there is someone on here who is looking for a slight power increase rather than all out.

You can also check out the DMAX section of the forum for your truck and introduce yourself there as well. Familiarize yourself with everybodys rides and see who is doing what with what mods and power levels using what tuners and ...whatnot.

THanks BBC, I now all about the pay to play rule I have a 77mph jet ski I sank more money in than I care to mention.

I wish I could help some of the chevy drivers. BUt I am new to them and still learning about them. I could help with the 7.3 fords I have one as my work truck. And I helped build a 1200hp dodge.

You would be suprised. You seem to know your way around machinery. Its not just DMAX forumsn here. We have just about everything. Hell its what I do at work while theres nothing to do. Grab a seat and see where I can lend a hand. Lots to learn too. even if its just asking questions.

Put a pic of my truck in my photo album if you want to see it it wont load up on my profile pic.

I filled out the signature thing and I cant get it to list the stuff under my name it in there when i goto view it but not on my posts
