what dry air filter?

Has anyone tried the AFE with one of those "filter socks"? I am not sure if that is the technical name for it. I have wondered how those performed on the basis of filtration and flow?

I loved mine on my AirRaid intake. Kept most everything off the filter and easy to clean.

AFE.

I coulda sworn that S&B makes one. I wonder if the filter for their intakes would fit the stock intakes. Or maybe the tubing sizes are different.

I'd be afraid it would fall out of the seal with no outer support since the LBZ filte fits inside the tube and the intake kit filter most likely fits the seals on the outside of the tube.
I guess the AFE or the K&N wouldnt be too bad. Only time I'd need any extra flow the headlight would be out anyways.
