weekend work (A-Team turbo) & injector issues

My injectors are leaking were the body and the housing thread together. This is very common on cheaper injectors according to Bill. There is no gasket there just metal to metal. Under torquing it will cause it to leak. Over torquing it will cause the metal to distort and leak. Of course it also depends on the quality of the metal used to begin with. Bill was very helpful in explaining things to me and answered all my questions.

I should have listened to everybody and not went the cheap route. I am sure this is not only going to cost me time. But some money also, both are hard to come by.

Got the new injectors installed.

Run great, idles smooth, seems to be a little stronger also.

Should have got the good stuff to begin with.

This was the second time changing them, it only took about 2 hours including cleanup.

They may not be rebuilding the injectors in house. They may be buying the rebuilt injectors and reselling. I would call them and complain about the poor quality.

Pensacola was supposed to be a "Reputable" outfit........What happened to them?

Inside track has it that they may have succumbed to lure of easy profits with regard to injectors, I bought a new IP from them that had issues, they did make it right however, it was a quality problem of Stanadyne's making, I was stranded here in Pa with my truck but the made arrangements to have it taken care of @ a partner site of theirs, so I've got to think it's a matter of what you are dealing with there, as in my case they did best they could to get me back on the road.
