I got a snow pro stage two kit Iwant to put on saterday. Have some questions on driling and taping the intake where exatly? Snow said right above the alternater on that flat peace. I was going to take it off to do it is there any tricks.

no tricks i know of. just be careful when tapping. go slow and dont go to far. is it a pipe thread fitting? i assume it is.

when i do these jobs i like to put a good heavy grease on the drill bit and tap it tends to hold all your fillings on the bit in order not to get it inside the manifold and like stacks said go slow but you are always better off to remove it so theres no danger of fillings and yes there is a difference between pipe thread and bolt thread good luck

I am taking it off to drill and tap it. Got some new gaskets to put back in to. I bought a npt tap and drill bit set. For the project. thanks for the help was trying not to take it off though will let you now how it all turns out monday.

yes it is a pipe thread. I hope the meth adds alot of hp I here different things I have a friend thats going to help drink some beers and install it around 3:00tomorrow thanks for the advice

that was a pain. took 10man hours with two trips out for parts. Here is the heads up if any one else does the same kit.
the kit does not come with a the 1/8NPT tap.
Does not come with a boost barb to get a boost signal. Trip #1
The hose from the tank to the pump and pump to the jets is way short(depending on where you are puting a pump and a 2.5q tank with NO space in the engine conpartment)
I ran out of hose and my friend down the street had some from his kit off his mustang. Trip #2
I will post some pics where I mounted the tank and pump tommorrow.
It did drop the EGTs like 200 and some more hp not much feels like alot more torque.
still tuning it.

Let us know how you like it.

I've considered getting one.

horsepower is not a huge gain in this kit, the egt reduction is where it is at. it allows you to run more fuel without getting overly hot.

I did turn up my fuel pump on my tuner to 200% I was running it at 150% egts were inthe 1,500 to 1,600. Now the highest i have seen in tuniing is 1,300. I have stage one set at 15lbs of boost and stage two set at 33lbs. I have one problem the banks tuner is turning off do to tran slip. I need EFI Live bad and some good tunes and I found one on ebay cheap but how do I get the down load tunes like the Idaho Rob on and all the others I hear about.

the bulk of tuners sell the efi live tuner and tunes with it. it usually is in the 700 dollar range. the tuners that sell it like that usually give a tune or 2 for free. others that sell ecm tunes have them locked so you only recieve the ecm. if you want adjustability buy the efi from a vendor and go from there. there are a ton of guys selling it now. 1500-1600 egts are nuts.

there are alot of idaho rob tunes, mcrat tunes ect out there. they simply ask you to email them your stock tune once you get your flashscan and they will tune it and email it back to you modified. it is an honor system because there hard work is now left in your hands and you CAN share it. you SHOULD NOT it is not your work.

makes sence I talked to TIm today at st. joe diesel he is a EFI dealer said he would do the 5 tune one with 5 custum tuns for my truck for $800. But I have to drop it off with him. for a day and when its there I am going to get my trany done to. with a fuel pump. No point in runing the big tunes and wasting whats left of the trany he said. that is also a good point sece theres only 45,000 miles on it. I drop it off wendsday and pick it up friday cant wait.

I just posted the pics from the install its in my photo album under water/meth check it out the hardest part was finding the a spot to fit all the stuff. The tank fits nice and tight but didnt want to take the grill off to fill the tank so I extended it 11 1/2"
