Hello! i new in diesel engines i have a 94' gmc 6.5 that i just rebuilt the engine, injectors and glowplugs but the mechanic recomend me rebuild the turbo my cousing inspected and found the wstegate and vacuum pump are not working.. before i order those parts i'll like to have other inputs from you guys btw the turbo is in good conditions..

so what do u recomend ??

thanks in advance!!!! :smile5:

A boost gauge is always good to have, but I believe he has spring length measurements with and without a gauge for safety. The mechanical W/G works better than the vac. system in my opinion.

jorge, at the top of the page click on "user cp" on the page that comes up click on "edit signature" in "options and settings". Then type in your truck info and modifications, that way we will know what you have.

Jorge, if you inspect as others have outlines and find your turbo is needy, I would suggest you replace it with an ATT (A-Team Turbo) available from Veg_Out.

To my knowledge there is no dyno data yet, everyone who has one, including me, reports 1-2 mpg better fuel economy and significant pulling power increases. It is a mod. to consider if you need a new turbo, or you tow a lot.

i dont tow... also lookingfor better mileage per g. i getting 14 m/g. now..
if i fix the wastegate and vac. pump do u guys think im increasing my m/g?
