Wastegate / boost Solenoid

Is possible for the solenoid to work intimately and not throw a code? When I start the truck the actuator closes fine, I can't move it, the vacuum pump is new but I get black smoke like a locomotive going up hill. I also have poor mileage.

I had an EGR solenoid that would stop working intermittently but it would also code.

A Boost gauge would eliminate any & all doubts…

do yourself a favor and can that solenoid. Get a mechanical TM and a gauge. Life is SO much better afterwards...

I bought a solenoid and just swapped it out real quick and drove it home it made a huge improvement. Still acts a little funny but not near the smoke.:smile5:

Where is a good place to buy the pillar mount and a set of gauges? I have been looking but everything is geared towards the Duramax....
