Voltage leak dead battery in a 6.5

Look for smoke... Shorts blow fuses or burn to the ground. :nonod: You have a current drain not a short...

Start with checking the battery condition as it could be going bad even if new. Then turn everything off and remove a battery cable. Put a amp meter between the battery cable and battery. Wait 2 min for any ECM's to shut down. Then look at the current draw.

If the current draw is excessive start pulling fuses one at a time and see if there is any current change on the meter.

Common items are bad dome light switches, glove-box light, vanity mirror lights, and under hood light.

Make sure there is no lights on overnight?

Sometimes, the batteries are just old.
Old is relative, in the case of batteries, in can be only 2 days old.

Load test the batteries one at a time to make sure they are still good.
Anything will cause you to think of voltage leak if the batteries are bad because it does not take that much usage.

Then make sure the alternator is good also.

Cables and connectors are also known to corrode.
