I should have been more specific. 99% of the F engines out there in pickups didn't have 3.42's. There was a fleet order option primarily for railroad use that put 3.42's into F trucks. I've even seen a 2500 diesel with a 14 bolt full floater and 3.42's. The lowered governor was because it was a special fleet order, and is a tipoff to the lower gears.@THEFERMANATOR My '94 C2500 C&C is a VIN F engine with 3:42 rear. The other peculiarity is that there is a speed limiter of 82mph programmed into the ECM's chip.
