At least 5 of us are just about ready, if not ready to buy fuel pressure gauges to permanately add to the in-cab collections.

Including myself.

So, A gauge. Electric type.

And all fittings necessary, perhaps a foot or so of new Viton Fuel line to replace the old factory line and all necessary fittings to do the job including or perhaps optional new intake gaskets. Fine tune the kit with your experience and advice.

Oppurtunity is knocking. Catch the summer wave. It's here.

Whats the matter Matt? what happened with the DIY spirit?
Thats most of the fun, gathering parts and making it work:thumbsup:

Buying ready made stuff,nah,to easy.:nono::smile5:

I think you need a few more than 5 guys to spur on a new product viably. Especially if you can do it for about 15 bucks using off the shelf parts.

I'll never handle gauges because their are to many that have them now. As for fittings its easy to go to a good hardware store and get them. Its all common stuff.

Can't get to 5 without starting at 1. Some of you take for granted what you know, and what others don't know.

Taking my intake off, then finding what I may need, then running around to a bunch of different stores to get misc. this fitting, that fitting... (all of which I really dont know much about)... That will take me all day...

So busy I lately I can't even think straight. ... This doesn't let up for me till winter this pace,.... I'll gladly pay for services rendered.

All of a sudden have more money than time. Seasonal Boom is upon us. And the 6.5 is more relied upon now than ever, with jobs tacked on ontop of jobs making me drive around the state.

I'm waiting 2 more weeks to pad out the bank account a little bit, now that i'm back in 'black' again.... Then its MOD time.:thumbsup:

OilPan this saturday.

2 weeks - Exhaust, Walbro/Pre-filter/ Fuel gauge.

Can't wait.

What size fuel line goes from flt mgr to IP? I am going to replace this while I'm in here, and figure I'll order up some viton. What size / spec should I get?

My little company won't be doing gauges either. While I am a huge proponent of the fuel pressure gauge in our vehicles, I'm focusing on making new parts, and helping my fellow tinkerer/inventors market theirs.

Matt,

You might consider placing the gauge sender at the IP like I did. You can take this opportunity to switch to a 3/8 inlet to the IP, then connect the sender, then a reducer to the 1/4 fuel line. This way, you are part way to FTB.

Yep, I gave up on the vendor's doing the dirty work for me :) I tried.

I think I need to really see what I'm working with under the intake and take it from there. I'll get fuel gauge setup, and worry about the rest later. I really need to fix whats wrong with both my fuel tanks... Filling up every 100 miles is driving me nuts... But I want my FP Gauge setup first, to diagnose all activity of my fuel to restore faith in my tanks, once FSU in main is fixed, and rear has new one.

Mods feel free to close/delete this thread. Let her die. (LIke my faith in vendors) LOL j/k guys.... you'll see my coin coming your way soon.

Like I said, padding the bank up for 2 weeks, then modtime. FINALLY. Waited 3 1/2 years .... time to have some fun.
