Updating my Alternator to a CS-144

So other than the bracketting nothing else will need to be changed. The CS-144 I picked up has a roughly 2 7/16" pulley on it. Or should I just swap for the one that is on the CS-130 currently in the truck? Not to toot horns or anything, but I just picked it up for,.....................Free! A buddy got it new in 06 and then his pick up was stolen. The cops found it wrecked and has been parked since then. Going over tomarrow to get the new fan and clutch he had installed back then as well.

Like Tom Peterson said. "Free is a very good price"

Measure the two pulleys. If they are the same you're O.K. I have a feeling the pulley on your CS130 will be slightly larger. If so you'll need to change them out to keep the tach reading correctly.

Thanks, Brother. The one on the CS-130 is quite a bit larger. Not to big of a deal. It is just one nut. Now to find that niffty back bracket. Me thinks a trip to the bone yard is in order for saturday. Along with the 9 blade fan. Another day of wrenching on the family truckster. LOL
