Update on DaHooooley rebuild

Not sure right off where that one came from.

I did buy it new I believe. I chopped off the front caster and added a full tube across the front and two casters.

A 3 legged stand is a disaster waiting to happen.

This stand is maxed out fairly well with a fully dressed 6.5

A 454 wont even tweek this stand like the little diesels do.

Its a good work horse now that it has the full bar across the front and 4 wheels.

In our current lawyer based world I'm surprised they still sell those pieces of SH(&!.

I wound up with a Chrysler 318 on my big toe due to one of the 3 legged stands. Broke the toe in about 8 or 9 places.

I like how you said 'broke'...more like smooshed! OWWW. As for the shoddy china engine stands, I agree.

And Missy that 6.5 is looking Hot. Me like. Keep us up on the progress.

I am thinking about the old 60 series Detroit Diesel blue for my 6.5. (when I finally get to rebuilding it) That'd be badness. :D
 
Any color that makes one happy is fine by me.

I chose the Cat Yellow just because I'm a Cat freek.

Love the Kitty 500HP moose motor. 2000 Lbs of torque at 1200 RPM
They definately make the tranny guys over at Fuller nervous.

Used to run Detroit 2 strokers in dump trucks.

Loved the Old 92 Silvers. OMG wind them till they scream and then grab another gear.

:drool5: Mmmm 8V92 Silver....yesssss. I spent quite some time in a mid 70s KW w/National Boom & flatbed as a kid. I could hear my dad coming from 1.5 away at least.

Please keep posting the pics. I always love engine build threads.
