Twin IP 6.5 tractor?!?

Of course its twin DB2's.... but that wasn't the question... The question was if twin DS4's was possible.. and if so what would be necessary... Dual ECM's + Dual FSD? or could it work with a single ECM and dual FSD's?

Yup, missed your first post. It was on page one and slipped by me.

Dual DS4's sounds like a nightmare to me....

Haha, yeah man... But i'm not sure it would be that-that much of a nightmare IF it could be run off just one ECM... Time each pump separately then have fun pourin the fuel to it (If you're a wiz programing these things)...

you would probally have to do a single ECM because dual ECM's would go nuts trying to adjust the fuel rates and timing when the oppisite pump is trying to do the same throwing off the calculations. although in a pulling tracto/racer where a smooth idle isnt needed you could have the timing on the two pumps just a hair off of each other so that you would get two injection pulses per combustion event.

So the pulse would occur over a longer time period, just overlapped in the center.... And i agree with the single vs dual ECM's... just not sure how the ECM would react to sending a single signal to two pumps... Might have voltage/ current problems... or maybe not?
