I picked up a used Banks sidewinder kit for my old '90 Suburban. The turbo has just the slightest bit of fore & aft play. I want to have it rebuilt & balanced just for peace of mind when I install the kit...thanks in advance...

Better turbos out there than that one. Suggest get a new turbo and sell that one to a 4 cyl engine.

Turbo resource is a good place.

I figured there were better availableI'm just thinking cheap for the next few years. Right now I just want to keep my tired old 285k mile rig going until I can drop in a fresh take out Optimizer and a "real" turbo setup. I figure the Banks is better than nothing for now unless I get a killer deal on an upgrade...

How do you use the rig? ATT is only $800 new and a way awesome turbo. Better power, mpg and lower egt.

It is higher volume low pressure, so it will be easier on the engine. Later when you drop in an optimizer you can crank up fuel and gets lots of power if you want.
