turbo oil feed line needs replacement

'04.5 LLY... My turbo oil feed line has a hole in it. (the rubber part) Can someone confirm or deny if the turbo has to come off to get to the banjo bolt that holds it into the block? It looks like there is room to snake a socket and extension down there on a u joint, doesn't look fun, but looks doable. The dealer tells me otherwise?
 
It can be done without removing the turbo but it is a SOB and requires some tools to get it done. You need to remove the crossover intake bridge and the oil drain from the block and flex it out of the way some. All said and done I'm not so sure that just removing the turbo would not have been easier.
 
couple days :lol:. no it really depends on your skill, and or tools, plus how rusty the truck is. some of the up pipe bolts come right out, some are rusted bad and you cant get enough leverage to break em loose. all in all it should not take a couple hrs to get it out.
