What is a good choice for a turbo blanket? This came up in a thread @n8in8or posted - tz31847-g3. Still a good choice for a HX35/40?

Should I be covering the adapter pipe also out of the back of the turbo, to the downpipe? I don't want to take a chance of melting my hood and there is no insulation. If so, then I figure a DEI product? @WarWagon posted a photo a while back of one on his bench that appeared to have the wrap on it with stainless bands if I remember right.

I used a DEI Turbo blanket on the A-Team Turbo and used their header wrap for the length of the down pipe as well as the cross over pipe. Turbo's like it hot.

Blanket and the wrapped the: crossover, manifolds, and downpipe past the bend in the passenger floorpan. This was to keep the underhood heat down and prevent burning the paint, again, on the passenger floorpan. Wrapped the manifolds to keep injectors cool as I ran the 6.2 heads.

Any blanket that will cover the turbo will do. I used the custom fit ATT one in the day and then whatever I could find for the HX40II.

I also used header wrap paint on the wrap. That's high temp paint on the ATT.

Downpipe is easy. It's wrapping the manifolds that was hard. You need good bands to wrap it to hold the wrap on. The wrap on my crossover came loose then off without enough stainless wraps used.
