i got out of work tonight, got in the truck did the normal thing turned the key to start and got a click/clunk and nothing else. the starter didnt even try and move i just hera a little clunk type noise from up front. everything else seems to work just fine just no atempt from the starter

Yep - what AK said. Pay special care to the battery connection with 2 cables on it - take it apart. In between those 2 cables is a little copper donut that gets crudded-up and will prevent your battery from sending a lot of amps through there... everything else will work but you won't be able to start anything. Boosting won't help, either.

Take it all apart (like RIGHT APART) and clean it up for now; do the battery post mod as listed in the 6.5 Technical library when you get a bit of time; that will fix it permanently.

Sounds like battery problem, get them load tested one at a time.

I would say either batts are low or the grounds on head..ect need to be cleaned.:thumbsup:

i got it started i found the connecter with the two wires had come loose i put it back on and she fired right up

Glad to hear that you got her running again. Looks like, that this forum helped another member. Most probs are kown on these trucks, but you have to llok at these points before the probs show up.
