truck not getting fuel

Quick question why hasn't anyone ever moved the pmd in the cab? Or I have a place between my flatbed and cab that's 6inches wide and open to air movement

Not sure where you live, in TX, the temp inside the cab is actually hotter than outside after the truck spend parking anywhere. What you need is not safe location but a location with steady temperature which is outside the hood.

The temp swing is actually what kills PMD not just cool.

So, let's examine the temperature inside the cabin. After parking it will be hot, then you get in and turn on the AC.
That will create a temperature swing which is what we want but not what the PMD needs.
 
Hello I bought a 97 3500 gmc at an auction over the weekend ran in the auction went to leave with it it died and would not restart can fill fuel filter housing will run till it sucks it dry towed it home noticed my lp unplugged plugged it in and of she went drove it for about 20 minutes started to surge then died won't restart and I also noticed the lp even with the key off won't shut off any ideas I'm just lost

If it sucked the fuel filter dry you have a plugged tank/line or it is sucking air.
The injectorpump will suck fuel past a non working liftpump, it just wears out the ip sooner.

My guess is the oil pressure switch is toasted and shorted out sending non stop signal to the lp and thats why they unplugged it.

Let us know if you dont know how to proceed with that info so i dont write an uneeded book here.;)
