Ive put my wastegate actuator directly to vac pump, it works pretty nicely since it will vary the wastegate with RPMs and fuel. I was seeing like 16psi accelerating off of that but it was too high for economy cruising at 75MPH (like 7psi).
I threw no codes when bypassing the boost solenoid. The solenoid does not have a sensor. only the S engines have vac sensor programming to throw EGR codes, and a vac line going to the EGR/BARO sensor.
Using an aftermaket chip meant to use the vac system it works much better, the wastegate duty cycles are better. So with everything hooked up stock and the Engh Chip I get like 13-14psi boost, 10psi sustained easily. 3-5psi cruising 65-75MPH. Also better because fuel rates might be higher.
