My k2500 has 209000 miles on it with the original injectors I was noticing some hesitation when I reved the engine on the highway so I checked the codes by the way it is a 1995 obd1 and it gave these... When I start it up it usually blows out white smoke and then quits after a few puffs. should I not assume it's the injectors or could it be the injection pump? After it warms up it has no smoke at idle but under heavy acc black smoke. I checked the turbo inlet for any obstructions and found alot of oil caked on the inside coming from the CDR tube. I can see oil coming out of the intake manifold and also out of the EGR on top.

- What fuel additives are you using? ___I was adding 2 strok oil to fuel for lubrication but I was scared of the dye in outboard oil messing with the optical sensor on my injection pump________

- CDR Valve? ___cleaned it today seemed ok______
- Coolant – last flushed/replaced at _____It had a leak for a while so I ended up putting quite alot of coolent into it replacing what was leaking out________
- Oil – synthetic/regular, changed at ___regular changed at every 5000 miles________
- Batteries – state of charge, (matched set) replaced at ___not yet__________
- Battery cables and grounds (removed, cleaned and tightened): ____not yet__________
- Glow Plugs - how many miles on them? ___209000______ What type? ____stock_________
- Injectors - last changed at ____when they put em in at the factory___________

1a] Does the engine start? ___oh yeah!______
1b] Does the engine crank over? ____yep____
1c] Are your batteries fully charged? ____probaly need new ones soon_____
1d] Have you removed, cleaned, and tightened all battery connections? __not yet______
1e] Does your Wait to Start light come on for a time? How long? ________
1f] Does your glow plug light come on? ___yes______ For how long? ____5-7_____
1g] Do you see smoke from the exhaust while cranking? What color? ___White_____
1h] Does the Service Engine Light Glow during Start/bulb check? ___unsure of what start bulb means?_____
2] Fuel Issues (if not running):
2a] Can you hear your lift pump working? ____________
2b] Do you get a steady flow of fuel from the water drain (T-handle) ? _________
2c] Loosen the inlet line from the IP – is fuel coming out (Lift Pump on)? ___________
2d] Loosen an injector line and crank the engine - does fuel come out? _________
2e] Do you hear a vacuum (hiss) when you remove the fuel cap? ___________
3] PMD / IP Issues
3a] Location of PMD (on pump, on intake, remote mounted) _____on my inake.. I know its really bad but where else can I put it without drilling any holes really I will move it if you tell me an easy no modification place to put it______
3b] Condition of Extension harness (if used) Vendor or Homemade? ___vendor new______
3c] Condition of grounds / ground wires to IP / PMD. Check Harness. ___good attached______
