Its not whether the LP itself works, it all about if its gettting proper power when its supposed to. Thats why you need to check pressure at idle and while driving.
disconnect the gauges fuse and check the resistance between the fuse contact and chassis ground. If If there is no continuity with ignition off then it must be shorted from something switched. Its possible that SES or STS light shorted out, but those are grounded by the PCM when switched on.

Got the Alternator tested, it's good. Ohm'd the A port it comes out 0. Tried unplugging things 1 at a time and turning the ignition on. Unplugged the OPS, glow plug controller, both temp sensors, LP, and no change. The truck still won't start. Turns over and blows whitish smoke out the exhaust. Still blows the gauge fuse as soon as the ignition is turned on.

need to find a wiring diagram and see what's on that fuse and then try disconnecting the things on that fuse.

Anyone got a schematic for the 1994 6.5, my manual only has the gas truck schemes.

The A port should be 0 ohms to chassis, so thats a good ground.
Now check the guages fuse contact to chassis with ign off, and then on.

Got some help with the truck yesterday evening. My cousin came over and helped me chase the short. Looks like its in the fuel heater on the bottom of the fuel filter housing. Is the fuel heater necessary for the truck to run?

Cool, I'm gonna give it a shot in a bit then. Last night by the time we found the short the batteries had gotten too weak.

Finally, after a week and a bunch of BS on my part, IT RUNS again. Til the next time it breaks. Thanks for the suggestions guys.

I finally found the schematic showing that it goes to the fuel heater. It was on the Glow Plug schematic, go figure. everyone should use All Data, its very useful. The Gauges fuse seems to go to just about everything.

LOL, yeah that fuse goes to too much shit! Me and my cousin traced all the wiring from it for about 2 hours till we found it.
I'm going to add that one to my memory bank.
