This is where I'll be reviewing the transmission kit I bought (pics)

I just looked at it again. Says it's included. I could just see a company like this trying to make me eat shipping both ways.

Did they make acknowledgement to that it was damaged in transit? If so then they should or you should have put in a claim to the carrier. I would assume this is what they will or have done. Therefore they should be credited for the freight charges.

Did they supply a return tag or shipping documents?

I talked to them friday. They acted like they didn't know what I was talking about. They had received the item at 10:46. I assume that was my time since the pick up time was. So 9:46 their time. Then they came back to the phone and said that the girl who does refunds says she'll take care of it on Monday. Wow, they must get a lot of returns if their staff that takes care of refunds can't get to it within the 7+ hours after delivery on Friday.

***UPDATE***
They received the kit last friday morning. I called friday afternoon and said that the lady who handles the refunds will get to it on monday. I called my bank on tuesday after it didn't show up on monday. They told me that if they process it on monday it may take until friday to show up. Friday it did not show up. I also called them again on wednesday and they said that Trudy (refund lady) will be out until this coming monday. They must be swamped with returns.

1000FWhp is roughly 750-800rwhp very possible with out billet hard parts ;)

i was thinkin about PATC before i bought mine from mike..

x2 on the porrly shipped/packaged stuff

Well supposedly it was to be processed two weeks ago monday. I spoke with the lady last tuesday, and she had no idea. I still don't have my refund.

It is BS. When I called them that friday that they received it, I told them I just wanted to make sure it didn't get forgetten and got processed right away. WTF? Even with me calling and holding their hand they still don't have the ****ing thing processed!!

i'd call them again and politely tell them your lawyer will be calling if you dont have this resolved in the next 24 hrs. if that doesnt give the kick they need call a lawyer and ask them to send a letter to this company. it is your money they are dicking with now. interest free.

Just make sure that you don't make any idle threats or it may come back to haunt you. If you threaten with something, make sure you carry it out if they don't comply.

I would also contact your bank and see if you have any recourse through your debit card, since you used it as a "credit card".

I got the refund today, but not the whole amount. The bank said I can go fill out some paperwork and get it back at least temporarily until it gets sorted out. It was defective merchandise and I paid return shipping. I shouldn't have lost out on anything.

Jay, glad to see you made progress today. So as of now you are out the freight going back to them? You should fight for that also but at least now you can move forward with your rebuild. Good luck and keep us posted on you progress.

How many members here? I bet if we all called everyday and asked about his refund, they would be inclined to do the right thing... just a thought

I am out approx $390 from them and $100 to ship it back. I went to the bank today and filled out paperwork. I also spoke to an attorney. I didn't think that I would be able to do anything through the court, because they are down in LA. But because they sold it to me and I live in NH, that qualifies for them doing business in NH. If I have even the slightest hicup getting my full refund, I'm going after them for my shipping charges and lost time from work. I took off an hour early today to get to the bank in time to fill out paperwork. And there will be time at court, court costs, etc.

I can see the $100 for the return freight but why are they keeping the $390.

This brings up a good point...maybe some phone calls from "prospective" ;) ;) buyers are in order...Letting them know that you are interested in one of their kits...but will not make a decision until their customer service issues are resolved...

They said that is for shipping, and for restocking fees. They said there was no damage so they are charging restocking. I told them I took pictures of the damage, he asked for them so I sent them a link to this thread.
My lawyer is free (to me), so bring it on.
