The Holset HE351VE VGT on my 6.2

we used a double action turbo master, it is easy to adjust and i can limit the boost down to 18 psi at WOT, but i have peaked at 30 psi a few times and it is a little nuts in a 3 ton truck, thought i was going to snap the drive shaft off so i turned it down quite a bit...

can you show a pic?

yes any pictures? 30psi? wow no bottom end damage?

no damage, we have a "turbonator special 5 pin girdle" on the bottom end, and we are running 18:1 comp..... the 6.20 gears are not the best for the holeshot, thats for sure....and the sm-465 is geared low as well.... thinkin to swap the stick for a 4l80e with a standalone controller..... should be able to turn the boost back up to 20-28psi at WOT with it...

Ha good luck with the NV4500 swap :) That sounds like a real bear of a project.

Are you going to be using an intercooler from a cummins?

Yeah, i have an intercooler out of a 12v 2nd gen cummins truck. The NV4500 project is down the road aways, mainly need to find a suitable donor truck.. But i hope to do the turbo swap before this winter..

Unless I can get a really good deal on a cummins intercooler, I probably will be leaning towards WMI. A WTA would be awesome though, but they are also expensive.

Yeah I think finding a donor will definitely be your best bet, much less parts hunting.
