Congrats to the three entrants that won!!
I guess you did not see this VVVVV
Probably the easiest, but boring. Thinking of something like: "pay it forward" for the holiday. Tell us what you did to help someone out. Could be changed an old lady's tire or you returned change/money someone overpayed.....ect????
Nothing real big unless you want to tell us. Something small will do.

I'll start: The other day going into Lowes a kid in a Cub Scout uniform and his dad in the background were selling popcorn. Kid approached and asked if I would buy some? I was very rushed and in a hurry so I said no. When I left they were still out there. I was thinking you know what? that kid is atleast out here working and tring to accomplish a goal. Its rare I see kids outside anymore anyway (it weird). So I drove up and handed him a $5 bill and told him to keep the popcorn. I appreciated what he was doing. It was a small token for me, but I hope it help him get closer to whatever their troop was doing.

Then we pick one that we liked to be the winner.

Ok, so a post Thanksgiving update . . .

Twas two days befor Christmas, when I was at the Post Office with the last batch of cards, and the numer of people there was surprisingly light. When what should appear accross the lobby from me, but a ~12-ish something kid with *two* small packages to mail.

In knowing the community surrounding that Post Office, it was clear that family and frinds were far, far, away, so this was the kid's best way to keep Holiday's touch.

Kids are kids and, sure enough, this one had only enough cash for *one* package not two, the Mother was not around as a source of quick dough, and the Postal employee wanted the kid away from the counter to help other customers (all two of them, Yes, two) lest the line overwhelm the three (Yes, three) Postal employees.

Being the Grinch and Scrooge that I am, I could not help but overhear as a lout, as the kid wanted to try and 'hold a place' where the Postal employee wanted the kid out.

I walked over calmly, and asked about, just how much was short, only to get the same stance as before that the kid should go out. So again I asked, and said "This is Christmas . . ." to find out, that the second package was $6 and change, but the kid clutched only $3.

So, I pulled out my wallet, gave the kid a 5er, turned around promptly with a wink, and out the door I went.

Not sure if this will end up teaching the kid to better prepare, or reinforce a bad habit, but then again, I really do not care. It was the Christmas Spirit which was what it all was about.
