Swampers for the "Stabbin Wagon"

Damn, I opened this thread expecting to see a truck with a shell on it that had mirrored ceilings.):h

NW Oregon is supposed to be WET and it is from Late October to mid May

We get about 40 inches of rain per year here where I am. South of Portland about 30 miles

Doubling that PLUS has got to be soggy.

Missy

well now I wanna see it :D:thumbsup:
you asked for it.
Truck looks better than it is, pass side frame is bend bad over the axle, box is hanging on 1 bolt.both sides are caved in and grill is ripped out from arguments with bison bulls over the yrs:D

The bale prongs fold in the bumper when not in use, bumper tilts up and down to lift a bale in he box,so i could grab an hold a second bale on the forks behind it .Motor blew last spring.:D

Thanks guys.

When I built it, I tried to keep it low as possible so I could still side load my 4wheeler, its only about 4-1/2" above the bed. Plus I have hydraulics now if I need to move a plow from one place to another, alot faster, easier and cheaper than using a tractor.

I use the stock power steering pump for hydraulics, its only good for 1500psi or so but handles most jobs.

Its easy to do, hardest part is prolly the remote reservoir and mounting the valve. The power steering pump feeds my open center 12v solenoid valve, the return from the valve then feeds the hydroboost/steering box/cooler like stock, the return from the cooler I have going through a filter to the reservoir. Just cut the pump to hydroboost line(steel line @ hydroboost) and use compression fittings to attach to the 12v valve lines.

Works slick I've done several trucks this way, stock steel pump reservoirs(like older GM's) are easier to attach your hose to for the auxiliary reservoir, I just weld a nipple to it, the plastic style pump reservoirs you have to get creative to attach your auxiliary tank line.

I always run tractor hydraulic fluid in mine so I dont contaminate my tractors fluid.

Yea, I knew you guys would have your mind in the gutter when I titled it that way, lol.

Guess I should have named it "Bale Stabbin Wagon", just dont have a ring to it though, kinda rolls off the tongue and lands on the floor.

Yea, a little bit soggy. Normally we get 40-45" also, most of it December through June and dry dry all summer.

This year it seamed to rain every three days, all year. Our ditches, creeks and rivers are not used to having 90", so we have some minor flooding since it takes longer for everything to drain off and the land itself being saturated dont help.
