Took a road trip to the Orlando area this weekend and I notice the shifts are hesitant and there's more smoke than usual. I looked in my records and saw that I now have almost 30k on my aux filter. Whoops. Time to take a #2 bath and change it next weekend.

I am too anal with my filter change. I am just now coming up on 12k on my auxiliary fuel filter, and will probably change it out before too long. I know, it still has plenty of life left, but they are cheap.

Can I ask a dumb question as I haven't had the opportunity to fiddle with one.. How many fuel filters do they Duramax's have?

Justin, stock they have one. The Nicktane adds one additional one, the FASS, Airdog, and...can't think of the other add however many is part of their system.

I'm the same, change out the Cat filter between 8-10K. At $18 its cheap insurance. I usually do 2 changes a year, one at summer before vacation I change both, and sometime in the winter just the Cat.

Changed my aux filter today along with some other PM type stuff. Need to change the OEM filter since its due also..
