Surging/ accelerating while at an idle??

I'm hoping this will get me by long enough so I can save enough money and go mechanical pump and stand alone tranny controler. Or possibly nv4500

Junkyard a cable style pedal or a new one for about $70 for hot rod complete kit.

ip- lots of military take outs and everyone puts back on a ds4. Keep an Eye on governmentliquidation dot com (is that ok moderators? If not please erase)Watch for good deals, they're out there.

One weekend will get it all done, then you can sell the ds4, and pmd(s) to recoup some / most of the cash.

I just read Bobby Martin's db2 conversation "manual/ book" the other night. That's what pushed me the rest of the way on my decision. Now it's just collecting funds. :) I know the 6.5 gets a bad rap but I love it. I don't think I'll ever go back to gas if I can help it. :D
 
I went to a local shop today to find out if they could get me a new stanadyn db2, the guy I talked to said even if he gives me fleet cost it would be upward of $1,700-$1800. I didn't think they would be quite that much. Might take a bit more saving than I thought. I did explain to him my plans for changing over and he mentioned I would need different injector lines cuz the db2 has different threads than mine now. He was super nice, and told me if I happen to find one in a junk yard I could call him and tell him what I found he would let me know if it would work or be modified to work.
 
Used db2 sells for the same as used ds4. I know some people have had bad luck with a rebuilt ip, in my experience it- no. But a top end rebuilder is key.

The guy in Vegas that was magic ip & injectors died a few years back. I know uniquediesel does high perf, what about stock?

Do NOT use someone that does not hold an excellent reputation.
 
Ok. I'm not totally against a new one yet. Just didn't expect that high of price. But I guess good stuff does cost more. I'll have to see when I get closer to changing over.

Got the new pmd a little bit ago. Thanks a ton Leroy. :) holy fast shipping. Ordered Wednesday night and 3 days later I'm pullin the box from my mail box.

Now to finish installing.
