subs

my set up is in the making still but i will deff have descriptions and pics when its done

I would like to put my 2 10" solobarics back in with my components set but I have to buy a new deck and that ain't happening any time soon!

id love to have a pair of tens. the stock sub is ok but just not enough if im listenin to something that needs bump :(

The type and brand of subwoofer you want depends on the music you listen to. If you are into Hip-Hop, you want a very powerful setup with quick response, if you listen to rock or country, you don't need as much power and response, and if you listen to classical well don't buy a sub at all, better yet, just stay home, lol

JL Audio makes some of the best sounding and best quality I've used, but they come with a nice price tag too

X2 ive also been looking at there custom boxes that go behind the seats but its not cheap. ill probably build something myself

Back before the DMax I drove a honda civic, I know I know flame on. My parents let me drive it for free all I had to do was fill the 2 gallon gas tank. But I somehow slid out my driveway at 80mph and bennt the radiator support all to hell. Then I refused to have a body shop fix it, I ordered all of the parts and let it sit for the rest of fall, winter and spring while I drove the old 6.5TD.

Anyways back to the subs.

My parents also bought a newer Civic from a US marshalls auction.

It was a professional setup.

2: MTX 9500 Thunder 10s

1: Thunder 1501 amp

1: Rockford Fosgate cap.

All wired with 0/1 awg wire

It bumped to say the least. To put it in perspective, not only was my rearview mirror usesless because the vibration caused it to just dangle from my windsheild, the side mirrors would have to be readjusted constantly and my door locks would mysteriously lock sometimes too.

Those subs are not cheap. But They were NICE. So I sold them for $500 and boughts gauges and a boost valve for the Dmax. haha.

i have a buddy that does alot of custom work interior, exterior, tinting, stereos etc... so i alot of choices to choose from for a good price im still looking around

my buddys got 2 memphis 12s and they sound pretty nice. my neighboor has 4 jls and 3 or 4k watts (i forgot which), a bunch of new mids and highs and a screen in a lifted h2. i can hear that thing over my music in my own room... the kid doesn't have his license yet (i know, its cuz theyre uber rich) so he just sits it the hummer in his driveway with his friends and bumps like hell. i got a faggot neighboor thats compained to the cops multiple times about it because it rattles his house so much lol

I got 2 10" Eclipse subs in a sealed box with a 2000watt hiphonics. I have it just spliced into the rear speakers and with the bose headunit, it cuts the bass at 50% so its not that loud, I mean it stil raddles the body pannles and heat shields. My friend has the exact same set up, just with a head unit in his crew cab, and it will make you s**t yourself, not even kidding.

2000 watts on 2 tens??????

my buddys got one 10 in FI in a box under his back seat. nothing extremely loud but it gives good bass for any type of music.

if i do get subs i want a seperate knob for them. the same guy i just mentioned has his wired to his stock head unit so when he adjusts the bass knob it turns off the bass on the stock speakers so you lose all the bass. sry if that doesn't make sense but its way better to have the seperate knob imo

2 10's in a custom box, they are Rockfords. They are powered by a kicker amp, another kicker amp works the front door speakers and a Rockford amp works the rear door speakers. The Head Unit is a Pioneer and I have Sirius and XM Modules as well as an ipod controller.

in my opinion rockford has gone down hill since they sold out to crutchfield and best buy. youd have to look for the good stuff from them because it looks to me like they have 10 differnet series of speakers. and alot are not the quality that the used to have back in the day. even the amps arent as nice as the old punch series ( the black one with red lettering) I am happy with my JL stealth box that goes between the front seats though. this is my first JL experience

ok got some sub pics. the big one is out of the truck for the moment while its racing season. 2 are of the JL stealth box and the last one is an alumipro M 16. that big sub weighs 47 lbs by its self. real pretty lookin sub wish I could get a shot of the cage its built in. real piece of art
