Stumped

I had a similar problem with my 99 5.3L. I did wind up taking it to the stealers and having them do a diagnostics on it. Cost me like 80 bucks. It was the throttle body. Is the go peddle hard(er) to push sometimes? Like you have to force it at the start? I had about a 160,000 miles on it when I replaced it.
