Stock fuel filter life? Towing.

i remember reading something how the quality of diesel fuel in north america to europe ten years ago was very low but has gotten better. cant find link though
 
its really not needed, the factory water separator works very well, and you don't need to get on your back to drain it.

But yearly maintenance would be great to get all the water and stuff that settled out of the tank. Or if you filled with junk fuel... Or if some bonehead started pumping GAS in there.... Or if you want a quick sample of fuel to see if your gelling

Not comparing it to the filter system.

I guess you may have to worry about vandals and theft....
