Just wondering if anyone has replaced their stabilizer shock? I am going to replace mine since it is leaking and I'm sure it's toast and was wondering if people were going aftermarket or OEM...

I replaced mine with a Rancho (OEM) replacement. Seemed to help. Was a real pain in the ASS to get off.

I looked at mine the other day when I installed my centerlink :D

All I can say is it is a pain to seperate it from the centerlink. You can get on the nut with a socket, however if you have an 18mm ratchet wrenh it will be a breeze, kinda.

Then you gotta find a way to pop it out. I couldnt get a hammer in there to save my life.

A tie rod fork would work best, but I was able to get a pry bar in there to finally get it out.

what are the advantages of an aftermarket one.

oh and if you wait a couple weeks our lift should be in if you wanna bring it over to the new shop.

BTW you gonna make it up to the pull in sauk on saturday night. Im making my first hook for the season there. Kind of a test and tune run for me.

Then its off to harrisville on memorial day if the truck is still in one piece.

Ive been cramming to get it ready for the season and im still behind.

Ya I guess. Ive pulled a lot before but this truck is completely different.

My truck has changed a lot since last year and its gonna take a lot to get used to.

I usually just sit in my truck in line and space out till its my turn. Afterwards Its a huge relief that I made it down in one piece.

But youll definately see the "dieselholic" up there. Im hoping to place in the middle of the class, as long as a bunch of Furds show up again I should be fine.
