smoke smell removal

So I spent the day cleaning out my beater with a heater ford escort sw. I took out the front seats the center console pieces along with a few other plastic trim pieces. All the plastic went thru the dishwasher ( good idea David), shampooed the carpets and front seats scrubbed all the other plastic surfaces I didn't take out with soapy water with some hydrogen peroxide in it. Used a whole bottle of febreeze extra strength. sprayed the bottoms of the seats before I put them back in. sprayed all the frabric surfaces and sprayed in the ducts. after it was all back together I started it up put the fan on high and sprayed thru the cowl intake and shifted to all the diff heater positions while spraying. End result no more cigarette smell!!!. does smell like fabreeze now tho, so for good measure I left the charcoal in the back.
