For the last month or so it seems like it has been taking a lot for my transmission to shift from 4th to 5th gear. Don't know if it has to do with it bein cold or what. Any input?
Also i've heard about cheetah performance turbo rebuilds. Is this a good choice or should i got with the more pricy aftermarket turbos?

For the tranny.

I would start by changing your spin on filter, and checking your fluid.

X2..

Low fluid or a bad spin on can't make these act weird.

For the turbo. They seem like a very good upgrade, exspecially for the stock engine crowd..

For he tranny check the spin on filter, check the fluid and when was the last time your fuel filter was changed??

Also has it ever been in limp mode?? And Edge can slowly eat away a tranny.

Before the turbo upgrades I would focus on a tranny upgrade.

A Cheetah is nice but there is better for a little more money. The GT4094R, the HTT Promax, and the BD supermax are all decent turbos.

Like Vinny said, How long has it been since you changed your fuel filter? The fuel filter will cause the allison to shift really wierd at times when it starts to become restricted.

Another point to consider: What is your 4-5 shift defuel setting on?

just changed my fuel filter about two weeks ago. been livin in norhtwest nebraska and its been pretty cold (way into the negatives). before i drove back to missouri i had to change it because my fuel had jelled up pretty bad even with the treatment i put in my fuel. and what is limp mode?

limp mode is when the clutches slip too much. The computer reads this and locks the truck into 4th gear and wont upshift or downshift or lock the torque convertor.
