Does it hit then stay on the starter or fire off and runs smooth once it starts?
Air in the lines will delay starting.
Injectors that stick open will allow some cylinders to hit but the engine stalls back on the starter when the air locked injectors do not fire.
A clear return line on the IP watched while cranking will tell you if air in the lines is an issue. Air can enter the system from any leak and drain the system overnight.
