sirius radio location

anybody got ideas for mounting this thing. its stuck in the wondow now, and i damn near strangle myself everytime i hit the brakes. sirius sends a ****in 900 foot antannae lead with it, and i got all that stuffed into the overhead right now.:doh: i know i can get a line in for runnin it off the rca in the truck. no more cig lighter power. what about the antannae and the reciever??:noidea:

where could i put em and how could i mount em??

its an 03 so it didnt come with the integral xm/sirius option.

ideas... anyone??

I would say you have a bit of a mess..

I've seen a few guys buy mounts that stick to the console. Thats an option.

Or, just sell that on ebay and buy the built-in sirius converter tuner that plugs into your factory radio

I made a bracket out of aluminum and mounted it above my trailer brake unit.
The bracket/brake controller is mounted to the dash as one unit, so i never had to drill any new holes
It is a little hard to see but i never spent to much time fine tuning the bracket to give the best viewing angle and since i use the presets for my channel selections anyway its not a big deal to me.


Ran the antenna wire under the dash to the door then ran it under the seal to the top of the door and onto the roof, all excess wire is tied in a bundle under the dash.
