Semi Retire my 6.5 for a Powerstroke 6.0?

Seeing the other truck gives you an idea of what you can sell yours for if it turns out you don't like it....

You made the right choice....now get that EGR taken care of before it causes you grief...

Yep cap the EGR and call JODY at DPTUNER for one of his tunes and put an exhaust on it and you'll see a dramatic change in her I bet as well as pick up some reliability.

Well, I guess good luck with the ol gal, glad you bought one that is well taken care of, and not the one trashed by my buddy, and may the upgrades be cheap, and the problems minor!
I guess they become better through updates and upgrades, so good luck!

Thanks Guys, and yes a coolant filter and EGR cooler delete are gonna be the first on the list to get done. Here's a couple of pics.

Yeh, from the first time I heard the price I was thinking it should be a great deal because I knew how this guy took care of his stuff. When I got there it was in even better shape than I expected. This deal was mainly done on faith because I had to buy a one way plane ticket to even get there, at that point I was committed even if I just brought the truck home and resold it. I got there, walked around it, looked inside it, looked under the hood, looked under the truck, the keys weren't in it so I went in and signed the paperwork. I didn't hear it run until after the handshaking was done and goodbye's were said. The Uncle had no reason to lie about the truck because he had really traded it in to the dealer, he just got the dealer to commit to sell it to me for the trade in value if he bought their new truck. So for him it would have been easier to just let the dealer have it and not have to fool around with all of my questions about the truck and having to pick me up at the airport and provide taxi service. The reason he ran it through the dealer instead of selling it direct was for tax reasons. The dealer cleaned the interior, did the documents, and slapped a temporary tag on it for $179.

I just hope it holds together now.

If ya find another deal like that, please PM me...I'll be there Johny on the spot LOL :D

Them deals do not come along very often, you got a hell of a deal. I've had Fords, Chevy's, GMC's & Dodge...anyone one of em that is taken care of & looks like the one you got, IMO that is what the hunt is all about, finding a one owner in that condition for trade in value, you gotta love it, life is good
