My hired hand put gasoline in my 93 6.5 TD and drove about 5 miles till it started running bad. Cleared out all bad fuel filled with diesel. Ran better for about 20 miles then got worse and worse, sputtering, missing, no power, no boost. Finally wouldn't even untrack itself. Put in new fuel sock, pulled intake, new injectors, new filter, pulled IP had serviced they said it was like new. Put it back together minus intake and it fired right up seemed to run smooth. Installed intake and went back to running bad, hard to start runs a few minutes and dies. Compression is 300 to 335 across all cylinders. Now what?

Sounds like a fuel starvation problem. Get a pressure gauge on the water drain. Get a clear tube on the IP return to check for air. Lift pump troubleshooting is here: http://www.thetruckstop.us/forum/threads/lift-pumps-ops-operation-and-troubleshooting.6872/

My bet is: OPS, Lift pump died, gasoline cleaned out something and you have an air leak. Gasoline vaporizes easier than diesel so vapor lock from a restriction is possible. You may have a kinked or failed hose type of restriction. You will need to verify the OPS relay kit is working ok above and beyond the link above. PSI at the water drain is pretty clear things work or don't...

Maybe, and hopefully WW is right.

I think you smoked the rings and need to rering it.

Anything under 350 psi will be hard starting.
Then the way early ignition that occurred brought havoc to the timing chain also.

Okay thanks WW! sucking air in bad spot fuel line, also intermittent cut out in LP. Starts now instantly runs great!

Awesome. Glad i was over paranoid about the rings ad the lower compression numbers.
I really felt the lower compression was because of the lack of lubrication from the gas. Running a while and the engine really smoothed out.
