Replacing Steering Control Lights?

I replaced mine (lamps). All eight of them. Removed the wheel, the button assy's, opened them up, unsoldered the old, soldered in the new, put it all back together in about 90 minutes.

Dealer wanted $48/ea for the controls. My bulbs were $1.79/pair.

What was the part # for the bulbs?

I need to do this..

Bringing this back up as I'd like to do something about my seek button light. When you pull the whole button as an assembly does that mean the pair of buttons or single ones? and has anyone got more info or pics?

Mike, the button closely resembles your key fob in it's construction. There is a bulb for each button. DIY LINK

I went with LED's when I took mine apart. A little more work with getting things to fit and figure out the +/- on the board but well worth the trouble. LED's
