Rear wheel seal leaking on 1998 K2500 Suburban Abused

Just as an FYI you can go here and figure out the sleeve you require from shaft size and then call around bearing places for the best price. Thing is though often times they do not carry it and you have to wait. The autostores have figured out the correct size sleeve for the application and more often than not like Napa do stock it/have one close by.

Often times the aftermarket suppliers use the same part number as the original SKF number I know that 'National' does that. If the Napa number starts 99 then odds are its the same as the SKF number

In fact IIRC the Sleeves that I have purchased from Napa were as packaged by SKF/Chicago Rawhide.

Cheers

I know that the tire place I was at was trying to rip me off. I asked if they do suspension and they perked up of course. Wanted ridiculous amount to change shackles and then told me my rear seals were leaking and I would probably have to replace the whole axle. I took it home and inspected myself, just found brake fluid leaking from drum cylinder, which I cleaned and fixed with no more leaks and the differential was still full to the top of course.

At the time though I saw they make repair bearings and seals for those that are scratched up. Of course I have the 3.42 semi-floating, not the full floating.
