I ripped it out.

Then I built a low platform for the dogs:

Fits the three pups very well. lots of room to stretch out and move around. Also allows for a good bit of "out of sight" storage for those shiny bits.

Then I decided since I use the truck everyday and I like a bit of good sound, I'd reclaim a little bit of the new space for myself:

Works out very well. Still lots of room for the pups, lots of storage for me and some nice bass fill in for my music.

Next up is build a grill to protect the sub. I very likely will go with a complete grill cover and some acoustically invisible cloth so it's not quite as noticeable/attractive to the causal passer by opertunist type thief.

Yeah looks good. I like the Duha storage under seat storage systems too. Wish our trucks had better options. I'd like a jumpseat type options for when they are needed.

Sub needed some protection, so I grabbed some metal stock I had lying around and fabbed up a guard:

Not bad for about 5 bucks of steel, a can of leftover hammertone silver and an hour worth of work.

I did something similar with mine, I lined the floor with 4 mil plastic then poured 2 part foam in let it set hard, cut it off flat then added 2 inches of softer foam on top the wife made a slip on cover with Upolstery fabric, Max loves it for trips, its soft but has good support
